0:05 - This is the sports broadcast in which a bowler with skill can win....$13,000! This is the program of knowledge, luck and daring. This is BULLSEYE! And now, here's our host, Al Trautwig!

+Greg Palmer Trautwig doesn't have much to say. At least in the parts I've watched.

Greg Palmer It was crazy to see young trautwig talking about bowling. I'm used to seeing him today as a Knicks basketball commentator.

@@markpotter8831That's way more common than Brunswick pins in an AMF center.

@@markpotter8831 AMF pins have long been more widespread than Brunswick ones. I believe the AMF ones used to be thought of as being more durable...but QubicaAMF has been making both brands since 2008, so now, it's really just a matter of what logo/neck you want on them 🤷♂

I always liked Steve Wunderlich's game. How many titles did he win?

I think the only PBA title that Steve is credited with is the 1985 ABC Masters. The Masters wasn’t a PBA sanctioned event when Steve won it. However, after the Masters did become an official PBA event, the tour grandfathered all previous winners that won the tournament as a PBA touring pro.

that intro feels like it could be an intro to an analog horror series

Both Al Trautwig and Mike Durbin mispronounced Mark Fahy’s name. It’s pronounced FAY, not FAHEY. I’m guessing that Al Trautwig wasn’t an avid follower of the PBA, so perhaps it was somewhat understandable that he mispronounced the name. However, I don’t give Mike Durbin a free pass on the mispronunciation. Durbin and Gil Sliker bowled against Mark Fahy and Pete Weber on TV in the 1981 Showboat PBA Doubles Classic. So you would think that Mike Durbin would have known the correct pronunciation.

Wunderlich always seemed to be snakebit on TV. nobody threw the ball any better in the 80s.
