Wow, I remember when that blue mat was new (and you couldn't stand the smell of it!). Look at the state of it now. A casualty of many, many repairs.

I used to collect loads of these pocket video games as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s. Most were systema make. Lovely to see you fix one. I have an old donkey Kong and similar issue with display. Now I know what to do.

Hey Vince, love the videos. Would you be interested in taking a look at an old pocket watch? The hands need to be relumed and I don’t think it’s keeping time. I’d be happy to cover shipping.

It’s an old Harman 7 jewel BERET 227383 Swiss made. The alarm works if you position the arms over the hour set for the alarm, arms move mostly freely, winds but you have to hold the watch upside down and give it a slight jiggle to get it ticking. As soon as you turn the watch over it stops ticking. Think I gave $30 for it. Seeing a couple online listed for $50-$75 range. But again, if Vince wants it for a video, I just need a PO BOX and I’ll send it over the pond.

If you look at the edge of the polarizer, it looks like the faulty polariser isn't original and has been hand cut. Would be interesting to see if it had been cut on the wrong angle originally

I have fond memories of the Spectrum's version of Scramble... called unwittingly "Penetrator" oh how us young teens mirthed about that one ;) I've got some different stuff coming up, have started building up a OO railway, got two old Hornby engines including one pannier tank identical to the one you did a while back and some bits n bobs, waiting on some tunnel ends and a Hornby suspension bridge kit and armed with a bucket, loads of newspapers and ready to go wallpaper paste (papier mache), some chicken wire and me airbrush and see if I can't build a decent layout :D Oh and some builders spray can foam, all the folks I talk to on this say that stuff is epic for much on a layout.
