I was at this one or the year after, (I don't remember honestly), Aco. 2/504th 3rd Platoon. I did the Flash demo, ( 4 LAW's together, never even saw one before the CAPEX, or after that .....) and during one of the practices, on the drive-in mortars, the base plate wasn't seated properly, and went almost straight up, we all dived under the bleachers. I know it sounds like the movie Stripes, but it actually happened to us.

I was there in the summer of 84’ doing the rotc summer camp. Either I was at this or they did an identical display for us. Brings back memories.

My unit 307th Engr flew out and jumped on Rhine-Luzon. Then we force marched back to watch the CAPEX. We got a break though, they sent trucks out, so we didn't have to road March back to division area!
