I bought this VHS from the 82d Museum when I got to Division in summer 1989. Was in A co. 4/325 INF. Saw action in Panama Invasion and Desert Shield / Storm. Good place to be FROM.

Aw man! My dad, who was in the 82nd in the early 60s, bought this on VHS in the 80s and I watched it over and over as a teen before I enlisted. I haven't seen this in at least 28 years but I recognized it right away, right down to the narrator's voice! We also had the previous 82nd promo video, with the same narrator. One difference that allowed me to distinguish them (and confirmed that this was the later of the two that we had) was the prime mover of the M102 105mm howitzer. Here the prime mover is given as the "Hum Vee" (the way he pronounces it speaks to the fact that it had not yet become the ubiquitous icon that it later became during and after the Gulf War), whereas in the previous video it was this thing called a "gama goat"; a six-wheeled freak of nature that was mercifully phased out in the mid 80s. (I'm sure I've just offended some gama goat aficionados out there who are huffing and puffing in indignation and shaking their fists at their LED screens and ranting about how the gama goat was the greatest piece of military equipment ever put into service and if we still had them 9/11 would've _never happened!)_

In Buffalo ny, there's a Naval park with 2 ships and a submarine. On one of the ships there's a exhibit dedicated to the 82nd airborne with this 1988 video/DVD looping over and over again.

Stationed at Ft. Bragg '85-'88, 18th Aviation Brigade, 2/159th (Chinook). Had plenty of interaction w/Division troops (including Operation Golden Pheasant, Honduras) and plenty of awe at the wackiness that routinely occurred in "Division".

Awesome!! Helluva memories. I used to have a VHS from the 82 Deuce Museum. It features the song "Into the Air Tonight" by Phil C. If anyone has a link, please post it. Thank you, F Scott!
