it is interesting to see this old footage i was always under the impression that walkinshaw hung crap on mr tesoriero - possibly due to what i have read, but in this interview, he seems quite calm and just uses the words "damn camaro" which is quite understandable - just annoyed/philosophical about the situation, not the other drivers :) perhaps, my 54 year old brain deciphers things differently than my 15 year old brain

Mr Wankinshaw should have prepared the car properly. His fault never a driver from the back of the grid who had nowhere to go.

It's still weird the ARDC allowed 2 Moffat/Hansford RX7's. Waste of a grid spot.

well, they allowed 2 grice/harrington commode dores too :) and only one car did not start the race which was the johnson/french mustang which was withdrawn by the team - no car failed to qualify and the the grid had room for 4 more cars and as it turned out, due to steve masterton's start, having gregg's car on the grid not only worked out for the team, but also added some much needed interest (albeit minor) to the end of the race with it finishing 3rd (some say 2nd, although that is just rumour) while being in some sort of battle with the harvey/parsons and jones/cullen cars the steve harrington car retired early, and while steve and the team claimed that they retired it as planned, it most certainly seemed to have expired before he brought it in to retire

​@nelsonschumacher7956 They did plan to retire it though. They had to, Harrington was Grice's co-driver. It was always going to be 36 that retired unless 6 had a problem.

It wasn't so much that they allowed it, they didn't have the authority to disallow it. Just like the 6 and 36 cars.
