Nice. I don't remember that instrument pod with the windshield. My 1973 FLH only had the tank speedometer. My 1988 FLHTC has the instruments in the batwing fairing. I remember the 1980s Tour Glides with the frame mounted fairing had the handlebar mounted instrument pod. Yours sounds great. I love the slow loping idle sound, but I set my idle at 1000 rpm because that is supposed to provide better oil pressure.

hi brad. nice classic you have there. I wouldn't leave choke on while warming the bike up. use it just to start it up and use throttle screw to complete warm up. the bikes are notorious for fouling plugs. thanx for keeping the "evos" alive

Thanks for the tip, Billy! I sold this last fall to a local guy who planned on riding it to Sturgis this year... didn't stay in touch to find out if it happened. But I'll remember this for the next oldie I get -- this was my first.

There's a guy on another Channel renovating one of these bikes and he just wiped out on it burn himself pretty bad but he drives like a nut so it was only a matter of time
