Thanks for this video! I was watching Toy Polloi's and everything was great except I just couldn't work out exactly how to get the wings back in. Your video showed it clearly, and now I've got mine working!

Hello Jim, this video is absolutely awesome!!! It was very entertaining but I’m afraid I tend to break things. I have zero mechanical abilities. I also have an imperial shuttle that I’ve had for decades. The wings give issue as they do not stay up/descend as evenly as they should. If we were neighbors I’d request a work order for repair. Either way, thanks for an enjoyable video.

Thank you for the kind comments. I will be putting up another one this weekend showing a size comparison and the features that I did not include in this video. I would be happy to help, but it most likely would be too expensive to ship. I am not that mechanical and you would probably be just fine taking it apart. The thing to remember with this plastic is that it is not soft. The Rebel Transport and the Falcon are also made from the same type of plastic. If you decide to go that route, feel free to ask questions along the way. Also, check out Toy Polloi's videos on it.

Great video! I just purchased one with box, unused sticker sheet, toy catalog and instructions, just missing inserts. I do need to take it apart to smooth out the wing functions and to get the motor going. This was very helpful Thanks

Congratulations!!!! I'm glad the video was useful for you. The instruction sheet is something I would like to pick up eventually.

Very nice! I just got one myself! With how pricy these things are, I’m afraid to open it

If it isn't functional, what have you got to lose.

@@classicalvintagecollector busted it open today. Reset the spring so the wings stay up better and blew into the engine to get it going, now it’s making that wonderful Kenner sound!

Only ever seen the box for this toy on the real world and was waiting to find out what the motor did - just makes a noise😂

I gave in and bought a 2002 Hasbro Imperial Shuttle version new sealed in the box ,I later buy 80’s release but it’s hard because of price and fear of broken parts

How do you like the 2002 shuttle? I do not own that one

@@classicalvintagecollector well that’s hard to say I never really did set it up ,I just opened the box to see that it was all there and sealed back up ,I’d like to display more of my vintage SW collection but room right now is very limited, I hav the Jabba sail barge but don’t hav the room to set it up. I’m near 60 now and I’ve been a toy collector most of my life now I’m trying to liquidate parts of it I don’t wish to hang on to. I guess once I make space I’ll be able to set up some SW items.

I get it as far as space goes. You are blessed to have the sail barge. I missed out on that opportunity; then again, the ship is so big, I don't know where I would store it.

What size are those screws for the battery contacts
@classicalvintagecollector2 жыл бұрын
Since I had these on screws on hand and didn't have to go buy them, I am not sure what the gauge is; however, it is probably equivalent to a 4-48 machine screw. Don't buy machine screws, though. You want them to have a "wood" thread.
