Thank you so much for making this incredible video! since most of us have to rely on Ebay to purchase our Star Wars vehicles your tutorials are very helpful in showing what the fighter(s) should look like once restored, unfortunately Ebay has been taken over by very unscrupulous sellers selling junk at ridicules prices and gouging you on shipping fee's. Most Ebay B-wings are missing the canopy and the cockpit guns...so now we have an excellent reference to go by....Thanks again!

Hi Dave! I really have two left hands and would never have dared to repair my B-Wing. Now I have a little more courage and will try to fix the wing mechanism. I found it admirable how calmly you approached the video. No rush, wonderfully explained and shown everything you need to know. The only thing I would have liked to have watched more closely was the thing with the pins and the trick of Toy Polloi, with the pins and all the drilling. That was too fast ... for me and my two left hands :-). But I'm sure I can find that either on their homepage or elsewhere on the web. Great job Dave! Thanks for this great video!
@VintageToyRush Жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, thanks for your kind words 🙏 It's just about confidence and taking it one step at a time 👍 Start with the wings, it's possible nothing is broken it just needs the pieces putting back in place. For the pins, Toy Polloi has done several videos on this technique. It can be more difficult but again one step at a time!! 🤘 Cheers!

@@VintageToyRush Good evening, I hope that you are well. I have now completely rebuilt my own plus another B Wing, so now they are complete and original 😁 I am now going through the bits that I have left over and I am about to begin rebuilding the third, which is the worst in terms of condition. It has yellowed considerably and the rear portion of the cockpit has suffered the same problem as the one featured in your video. I actually managed to completely disassemble the cockpit assembly by twisting and pulling the cockpit and rear ring until the rear ring popped off of the splined shaft and without causing any further damage.
@VintageToyRush10 ай бұрын
@@PieAndChips Glad to hear you've now restored 2 B-Wings!! Nicely done. Also good to know the cockpit can be completely disassembled. Will you be de-yellowing this 3rd one?
@PieAndChips10 ай бұрын
@@VintageToyRush Thanks to your video for giving me the confidence to tear them down 😁 Yes, I will be retrobriting this one as I also have a severely yellowed AT-ST that I have managed to completely disassemble. I am going to wait until next year and do it during the summer so save faffing about with UV lights. In the meantime I am going to collect spares in order to potentially complete it. I'm also going to have a go at moulding a resin replacement cockpit "chin cannon" as mine is broken and nobody currently offers a 3D printed replacement. It's really quite exciting as I usually build scale models, so coming over to toy repair and restoration is really quite interesting!
