I think this is Sam Ard's only start in cup series. I believe he attempted to start a cup race the year before, but he missed the field.

I think it was 1992 or 1993 I watch Geoff Bodine dominant at Martinsville in a number 15 Bud Moore Ford. It was on a Monday after Sunday got rained out. The very next week they ran again on Monday at Noth Wilkesboro. . The race went from drop of the green to the checkered flag with Geoff Bodine winning again..
