DAMN, I wish I could've met Jonathan in person, even though I might've made a fool of myself by swooning and passing out at his feet! ;-) Anyway, thank you for sharing this; it's priceless. :)

I met him 3 times and he was every bit as gentlemanly, handsome, kind and considerate, as you would expect him to be. Truly a class act.

His voice, and perfect diction...he was a class act ! We don't see actors like this anymore. I wish I could have met him and told him these things but I would've been tongue tied and Star Struck, and make a fool of myself ! I still love him. 💗🌻

Thank you Ms. Kersey for posting the videos of Mr. Frid. It is wonderful to hear that expressive kind gentle voice of his and in other videos to see him with all his expressive facial expressions and hand gestures. I hope your videos have been posted and shared on his Facebook Tribute pages as well. Thanks.

I could listen to him forever. And clearly, the audience is under his spell xD Wish the directors had listened to his suggestions about the bat, the fangs, and that echo scene from the movie. I disliked all those things the first time I saw them, and they would have been so much better off doing it a more subtle way. Especially the echo thing bothered me, because it sounded bad, you can't hear what he was saying, and it wasn't really as "effective" as they obviously thought. JF could do amazing things with his voice, he had all that distortion and false chord stuff down. He didn't NEED any effects.

I loved what Jonathan was reading out about his observations of Richard III and Barnabas. His rapport with the fans is adorable.

I've enjoyed parts of his one man shows you've posted on KZbin so much. I wish Arsenic and Old Lace had been recorded. I've have loved to have seen him in that. He was truly a very talented man. Dark Shadows may have made him a star, but he was an exceptional actor. Thanks so much for posting all these little gems.

I have trouble making out the questions and comments from the fans though I can make out hear some- the lady that said she was scared out of her wits by Barnabas- I'd have told him that he was THAT convincing that he scared ME witless in middle age lol.

He had such an elegance about him! I could have listened to him read the phone book with the way he mastered the spoken word!

Thanks for posting this, Nancy! As one who never had the chance to go to one of the Dark Shadows Festivals in the 80's, it's really nice to find footage like this.
