#34 for the BEARS looks pretty good. 192 rushing yards & game winning TD.

Number 34 is Walter Payton. The late great Walter Payton.

Crazy hit on Matt Suhey long after the whistle is blown. Payton getting run over the bench no excuse for that!

A replay from another angle showed Walter Payton with a handful of Mark Lee's facemask, riding Lee into the bench along with him.

This was a very dirty game. Multiple players on both sides would be facing several game suspensions had it happened in this day and age. 11 personal fouls???

Aside from Dents retaliation and others protecting McMahon this was all GB as usual in the 80s. They were the thugs of the league and concentrated on it more than playing good football. They took it out even to a worse level in 86

If the '85 Packers played all their games they way they played vs the Bears, they might have earned a Wildcard spot. Under the scheduling rules of the time, they would not have met the Bears until the Conference Championship. Something tells me they would have put up a better fight than the Rams did.

The packers played dirty but they gave the Bears a hell of a fight. I’ll give them that. If they took care of their business, they should’ve made the playoffs...
@Fireyninjadog2 жыл бұрын
They had a super soft schedule. Outside winning division games against opponents 7-9 or worse, green bay was losing to the 5-11 colts and cardinals. Total flop

Tony Dorsett (2,936 carries) and Franco Harris (2,949) are tied for the most career fumbles by a running back, with 90 fumbles. Payton retired with 86 total with 3,838 carries. So none of these men were fumble prone. And back then they didn't protect the ball as well.

There isn't another Chicago Bear held in higher regard than Walter Payton! Ever ! Most Bears fans would point to Walter's strengths rather than what you perceive as a weakness! You could have mentioned all the NFL records he held when he retired! You could have mentioned he was the most complete football player in NFL history! But you william who's never played in the NFL, chose to be an asshole!
