My Dad had an 85 like that in 2 tone silver. He passed away last year and I actually found an 84 with the bustle back and of course I paid homage to my dad by buying it. They had a nice look

The fake spare destroys the look of this gorgeous car. Awesome body style, awesome color combination with the two tone treatment.
@chriscadillac84483 ай бұрын
Yes. That is a deal breaker... I remember when these were new and fortunately, most buyers were smart enough to skip that option... or they opted for the less revolting continental spare mounted on the rear bumper. If I were buying this car; I'd have to look for a replacement deck lid. That said, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for these Hooper/Rolls inspired bustle back Sevilles.

Beautiful Seville except for the faux tire cover on the trunk lid and that horrible faux RR grille. Mine I removed the grille. Same blue velour interior. It is Sand Grey, like a cream color with a blue vinyl faux cabriolet roof. The velour interior is more rare. Most of all the Sevilles had leather seats. I love the fender monitor lights. I had my Fleetwood Brougham out yesterday evening while it was dark outside and you could see them really good.

I've always liked these Seville's but still do not like the trunk deck with the fake tire in it. I used to ride in one while in CA and it was the triple light lemon chiffon color but it had the 4-6-8 engine. Which was okay around town but not so much on the freeway when you couldn't cruise steady without traffic jams. This has a nice color combo but the interior reminds me of my Olds Tornado (same era) in that same blue velour. Leather in these are nicer to me (when they were new or kept new in today's time). Don't see them going down the road any more like the other smaller style before this era. Regardless of like and dislikes of any us, you won't be with this one too long as all others you get your hands on.

This gen Seville ran from 1980-1985, not 1979-1985. I'm surprised that the front passenger seat is manual!! I bet that center button on the stereo was the "eject" button for the cassette tape. Looks like the under hood light needs a new bulb.

Uh, I can say they were a lot more than $16k new in 1985. MSRP in 1983 was $34k on my mom’s new one. I will say, some of the volume Cadillac dealers would take a deep discount from MSRP. My dad paid $20k for that car from Hubacher Cadillac in Sacramento. He went in to buy a Fleetwood Brougham, but they had a buttload of Eldos and Sevilles on the lot. Too bad they didn’t have the 4.5/4.9 V8 in them. Much superior to the Northstar.

My brother had one. I think it was the diesel engine. He hated it. One day he tried to get in and start it and he didn't wait for the glow plug to warm up. They got rid of it fast. But one week he brought it down to park it in our mom's garage because Stamford, CT was a lot of thefts I guess. I was young and showed it off to the neighborhood and since then everyone became jealous of me having a wealthy brother. He didn't give me a dime. 😅

Hi Anthony. I always looked down on these 2nd Generation Sevilles 1980-85 back in the Day. The 1 exception is when they have the full cabriolet top, a Dealer installed option. May I suggest you start working on some first Generation Sevilles 1976-79? Those were timeless & Elegante (no pun intended) status symbols; the cat's meow. Very desirable cars with cliche. Please and thank'ya, Bru

I use to have a beautiful creamy yellow 2Dr Coupe DeVille. Those years Cadillac had the 4.1 aluminum engines which were Cadillac's worse engines. I went through 3 of those engines in the 8 or so years that I had the car and swore that no matter how beautiful the car is, if it had that engine I would never buy it. I love this styling of the Seville and I really love the paint combo color, but no thanks.

I had a paper route when this came out and I remember one of the most wealthiest Realtor was my customer and he had this car and I laid eyes on it not knowing how to feel other then WOW that’s Different! When I seen the price compared to the Broughams that were a lot more car for the money to me was no question which I would buy. I grew to like these as time marched on. Living in the north east it wasn’t common to see cars in really nice condition very long. GM with its Paint that fell off, or faded to grey if your car was any shade of red. Lincoln’s answer to the Seville “the Continental with the bustle back was a joke. If you looked really close at the front end styling you can see how the fit and finish is terrible and the styling was not a Continental. I would have taken the Eldorado or the Brougham too bad the engines sucked during this time too.
