1985 chevette barn find rescue update

been a while since I've posted a video, thanks to all the new followers I decided to do an update on the most popular car on the channel my 1985 Chevy chevette CS 2 door hatchback. I added some new general rt43 tires, LED headlight upgrade, changed all the fluids, the car has been running great, even after the great flood incident, I did burn out the Edelbrock fuel pump and went to a China spec one, and I am looking for a driver's side door glass! comment if you know of one in Wisconsin. Have had several Chevettes back when they were somewhat plentiful, best commuter/winter car i ever owned once you learn their quirks. Always had standard transmissions because felt if i was gonna die in a car crash best shoot for maximum mileage and lugging abilities and worked out to $20 payday to payday premium ethanol fuel preventing their fuel system freeze up issues. Also always installed manual choke for better start and warm up plus those electric chokes were so finicky and never seem to shut or open completely. Lastly at the time found a Hankook winter radials all the way around and that car would go anywhere and for a small rear wheel drive car was amazing on snowy winter roads! Called it the "Mealmaker" cuz it brought home the bacon for many years lol

They really are fun! I had one with winterforces snow tires and would rip daily for years! It's the black one, I only have the one burnout video of it. I wanted to use this car for ice racing but I had a heck of a time finding 13" snow tires and ended up with all seasons. Someday I'd like to properly set it up for snow and ice.

Some person in my neigberhood has one of these lol it is completely trashed. Everytime i walk by it i can see the frame hanging out the bottom that was spray painted. Got a crap ton of rust on it that was patched. Can't belive they guy keeps adding money into it lol. It is a yellow chevy chevette 4 door with a black hood.
