True dualing those ole blazers were what ya did back in the day. That sounded ok I guess.some traditional 22’s cherry 🍒 bombs 💣 would’ve been really old school mods. Good video because of the old 4x4.

@@chrishansen7004 True duals were used for ages usually with headers and glasspack mufflers (Cherry Bombs and the old round Thrush glasspacks) not only for power gains but it also had a sound that many of us old hotrodders loved.

True dual means one pipe off each manifold running all the way back. Whether it has a crossover or not. It's still true dual.

Got a 79 k5 i have the same set up but mine too loud it i mean the beast is loud but it does have a 383 Stroker no Catalytics mine dips out on the side behind the tire with fat crome tips cost me 700 thinking about getting the 44 too loud on the freeway

Cats means it’s not true duals? If someone doesn’t know what true dual means they have no business attempting to modify cars at all. True duals - each cylinder bank has its own independent exhaust system. No Y pipe or anything else that would connect exhaust gases from one side to another. It could have 12 cats , 8 resonators and 4 mufflers and still be true duals. Maybe it’s the import crowd saying that about duals they probably think by having two fart cans out the back means they have true duals.

For a Blazer that is beast mode LOL. I have an 89 and stock only has 200hp. That one probably has probably 150-165 hp with stock gears and with the larger tires that thing is going to be a slug. I’m building an 6.0 LQ4 do do an “LS” swap with 500 crank hp and with 33 tires and 4.56 it will definitely roll out.
