When I was 15 years old (1985) my dad purchased a new 1985 KX80 for me, my first real motocross bike. And while pushing my new bike out of the dealership I remember seeing the Eliminator 900 nicely nestled within a row of new Kawasaki street bikes. It had to have been one of the most beautiful pieces of moto-art I had ever seen. It was like Squints in the move Sandlot losing it over Wendy Peffercorn. What a beautiful bike. Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful machines with your audience. Keep on keeping on brother! Love them videos.

I had a 1985 900 Eliminator. It was very easy to get off the line. 0-60 this bike was awesome! The only bad thing about was you hit reserve on gas at 60 miles.

A friend of mine had one of these in the 90s. Absolutely killer bike. Suspension was a little flabby but other than it was excellent.

I had one right off the show room floor. It had air suspension front and rear. I found it very nice. Only thing I would have liked would be if the pegs were set back more for drag racing. I’m 55 years old now and wish I had it in my garage now. So fast. 😁👍

I have one of those in boxes. I loved that bike back in the day. It burned the exhaust valves, then life happened. Just never got it back together.

My favorite bike. Had one in 1989. Traded it in on a 1986 Kawasaki Ninja900. Then a Yamaha FJ1100. Then a Yamaha Vmax. I'm one of the few that can lift the front wheel and keep it up.

Wicked beautiful bike for the times.I had a red and black one" as new "in 1987. But... there were many class bikes of the era that would eat it for lunch! V45 sabre, v65 magna, and the king VMAX, among other quicker bikes. I was drawn to the beauty, muscle, shaft drive 900 eliminator under my crotch . Have a gr8 day!

Either something was wrong with your Eliminator or you had a ZL600, not a ZL900. Stoplight to stoplight and at the 1/4 mile track I have raced & beat all of those bikes. I have lost to them too, but only in the 1/4 mile and none came close to eating my lunch. Granted, Vmaxes were more powerfiul, but very difficult to launch without wheelspin in the fist 3 gears.

That had smaller carbs but a better motor than the Ninja overall and great motor and zero to 60 was great ,wheelbase is outrageous in length but it worked for city work,massive radiator makes up lack of oil cooler.

I have one of these all original with low miles also ..I think about 13000.. Ran great when I parked it 4 years agoI need to get it out of the building and clean carbs .. Tha cam tensioners on these failed often. I put a later model concourse tensioner on mine. I have 12 bikes and can only ride one at a time!
