1985 Madison Final Heat

Here's the final heat for Madison 1985! Much better quality than before!
I have to say, it cracks me up that the announcers keep talking about the other Budweiser which they keep saying it's a turbine, even though it isn't. :)

My dad Bill was the owner of the Oh Boy Oberto that ran in 85 and 86. this was one of their best finishes, tho the field was small to begin with, I think only 7 boats showed up to this race, but I remember he was really proud of this one. oh, and yes, kropfeld was playing with Jerry in the first heat, he had 40 or more mph top speed on our boat, lol. was a great show tho, and that was the point. it was a really great year overall, dads boat finished 6th in the points for the season, started every heat it was scheduled to run and finished every time it ran. good times....
