What did your Father fly? My first air show was in FLL Air and Sea. The T-Birds flew. We were out in a boat watching it. Everyone on our boat had a blast watching my expressions and squealing the whole time. The Blues flew one year and my husband would get on our roof and watch.( our house was on the flight path.) “ Pails” channel is amazing especially with that voice he has. That is SO cool!!!!! I know it's a long, tough road to get to a Hornet or Growler front seat. I also once heard that only the top candidates in flight school are selected for the fighters. Years ago, when I was active duty, I also remember that the guys who are in the lower echelon in flight school end up in the helos, although I also remember that there's some wiggle room to choose what you want to do? That sort of surprised me a bit. Decades ago, a neighbor we had was a pilot for NorthEast which later merged with Delta. He had flown UH-1 Hueys in Vietnam, and I clearly remember him telling me that a helicopter was a whole lot harder to fly than fixed wing aircraft.

I really liked to see your old videos. But I definitely love the voiceover versions as they give a lot more information about what is currently going on. And meanwhile I am so familiar to your special move that I virtually don't realize it any longer. ;-) Thank you.

This seems unusual. Isnt Danger Zone supposed to be played? Pretty sure that’s standard procedure. Was the onboard stereo malfunctioning?

Taking off and landing on a short moving runway with the most unpredictable and strong winds 😅 “How will you take off? We’ll slingshot you. How will you land? We’ll put a rope across the deck.” 😮

The complexities of Carrier operation never cease to intrigue me. Hollywood movies never capture the flight deck Ballet of this operation. It is such a co-ordinated effort requiring skill and cool. I feel nervous just watching the Pilot waiting their turn, and i think, regardless of how many Shots and Traps they do, it is still a challenge.

Was on Independence CVA62 from 10/62 thru 03/66. Saw more than enough shots and enjoyed them all. The F4 Phantom was a real screamer. This was a great video, nice to know what's happening from your perspective. Thanks mate.

That’s so cool learning all of the workings to launch off of a ship. Did you get to go onto Wake? It’s beautiful. I spent 4 days there basically going to the beach, drinking beer and wandering around. Fun fact on blast shields on the land In Korea when it’s 30 below you can stand behind them to warm up🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing! Fly Navy!!!!!

OH I ABSOLOUTELY LOVE THIS...AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME...this one made me smile from ear to ear...when I rememember my time as an F-14 plane captain aboard the USS CONSTELLATIO with the Black Knights of VF-154 out of NAS MIRAMAR..San Diego...just bringing back so many memories for me...BEAUTIFUL...

Cool this came up. I’m not a pilot but was an aviation electrician in VF-33. NAS Oceana. Dale “Snort” Snodgrass was my company commander. Nights op’s working the flight deck and being a final checker with the after burners hitting the JBD and your body rattling was pretty cool. Great memories.

Now that was really cool!! i am an AF vet. Navy pilots to me are the best aviators, period. to land on an island(aircraft carrier)in the middle of a wet desert is incredible. All the people involved just to launch an aircraft is amazing. everybody has to be aware of everything all the time. That was fun watching.

My late husband was involved in Quality Assurance that helped develop the F-22. He was civil service for 33 years. Took years and millions of dollars to develop. One of the many things he did to make sure our soldiers had what they needed to protect our country. Thank you for your service.

Thank you for your service to our great nation. I am 62 and a Army Cold War Veteran. I'll be honest with you I must have been in the RIO's seat because I fell asleep before you could leave the deck. Very relaxing and calm video to watch. Great job.
