Fall of 1985, I was in 4th grade. Wonderful memories of my childhood are coming back after seeing these talented faces, many of which are now gone. And now, trying to recover from the trials of 2020, one realizes how depressing life has become. Thanks for helping me have a few smiles tonight and to relive a part of a happier time, even if just for a few minutes.

The 1985-86 season brought NBC some exciting new shows like The Golden Girls, 227 and Disney’s Adventures of the Gummi Bears, and, by the end of the season, The Cosby Show, which premiered a year earlier, was the #1 rated show in prime time, and NBC itself replaced ABC as the #1 rated network.

Ahhh I remember 1985 and most of those shows. Sadly 1986 would soon come and be the end of the "car chase era" when Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, Street Hawk, Hardcastle and McCormick, The Fall Guy and other big time action shows like Airwolf would end. Only the A-Team would manage to last another year...

Seeing this makes you miss the 80s. The little kids today will never know what it was like then. Far worse than that, they will never know what it was like to be an American and to have the rights and freedom our forefathers fought for. As the family unit is strategically destroyed along with the middle class most will also never realize the American dream, now that we have been overtaken by communist forces. Someone will have to tell them what America was because great effort is rapidly erasing everything. Michael and the Foundation would've fought against the evil darkness that we have allowed to take the land....But instead, deceived blind Americans fight against the very ones trying to save our constitution, family, Church, freedom and nation. Tragic.

I agree with all you said.. Thankfully, you left out most of the gospel church stuff which I know you were struggling to omit mentioning, but I'm glad you didn't go that direction with it because it's very relevant and factual in its current form without the Bible thumping.. With that said, I just wanted to thank you for saying exactly what was on my mind and that I was headed here to say myself, thereby saving me from having to think about how to phrase it and how to frame it contextually.. Everything is true and you're spot on with the diagnosis, the culprits and the cure (none) so bravo for having a spine and the willingness to submit it to the comments section here for others like myself and be reminded that we're not the only ones who have watched in horror as the nightmare our heroes warned us about have now been turned into the reality we wake up to face each day, continually disappointed that waking up each morning mercilessly begins with a sense of dread as a new unthinkable waking nightmare commences instead of the other way around where waking up would be the ending of that nightmare, and a sense of relief =/

NBC was THE network for young tv viewers that middle to high school demographic ...this network had the coolest and funniest shows especially during this mid 80s era that started a couple yrs back..mostly thanks to then network head the late Brandon Tartikoff who got so many show green lit like The A Team , "V" , Fame , The Powers Of Matthew Star , Knight Rider ,Buck Rogers and Silver Spoons that maybe would not have gotten a chance at ABC and definitely not CBS in the early /mid 80s

Hmm. Never heard that. He did almost become Brewster Baker in a TV adaptation of the movie Six Pack in 1983. If that hadn't flopped, he'd have missed out on his most iconic role, Sonny Crockett. Speaking of actors who almost became Michael Knight, Jeff Osterhage, who would guest star as John Stanton in KITT vs KARR was also in the running. More useless trivia: 2 people who appeared on Knight Rider would go on to have lead roles in 2 late 80s cop show reboots. Jeff Osterhage in the new Dragnet and Peter Parros in The new Adam-12.

Switching from my default setting 360p to 1080p changes absolutely *nothing* and there's still no more than roughly 20 or 30 pixels in total each frame.. Speaking of which: the framerate appears to be somewhere in the 3 or 4 frames per second range which is characterized by choppy-ass images that look like Claymation from the horror movies of the late 50.. Stupid ass television standards back in the day here in USA while Europe was enjoying much higher resolution standards, from what I've heard.. Either way, our shit sucked back then! 👎🏻 Booooooo!!!
