Nearly 35 years old, and the leather is STILL in better condition than most brand-new Rolls Royces and Bentleys, whose leather seems to sag before their cars leave their respective factories.

First thing that I noticed is the wipers. Clearly a problem here. Own a Spirit 1981 since 1997 and still going strong

I don't agree with you that they aren't practical for every day driving. I bought, as the second owner, in 1982 a 1965 Silver Cloud III. I've driven in most days for 39 years and kept it properly maintained. The problems come when they reach a price that a lot of people can afford to pay, but they can't afford to maintain them properly. I was advised that the way to keep maintenance costs down was regular use and that seems to be true.

the oddest thing about the car is I drove one from LA to Vegas and when the temperature overheat starts coming on it sounds like a cell phone ringtone I'm checking my phone checking my phone checking my phone Ohnooo!!!

Ma786sai Dua Keith your insights and “connect” with Rolls-Royce is absolutely soulful. Terrific. I was concerned about the oil pressure gauge needle on my 1982 Spirit which on start up rises up slowly to midway after 15 mins of town driving. Of course the red oil light goes OFF instantly as she fires up. Engine is silky smooth. Quiet. But what part/place do I need to check to know my OIL PRESSURE GAUGE is working PERFECTLY as it’s MEANT to? Bless you

Ma786sai Dua An absolutely splendid example of a wonder Silver Spirit. Yes she wafts happily-ever-after. I Just pulled the trigger on my first Rolls-Royce a 1982 Silver Spirit with Jack Barkley Ltd coach work. Cotswold paint. I will pour in all my love and care into bringing her back to her serene stately Crewe elegance and elan. Changing both rear Green Accumulator spheres as that is top priority. And a new water pump and both hoses. Of course will change all the engine fluids. Is 20-50 standard Mineral oil best for the engine? It’s hot in India. Do I totally steer clear of and avoid Semi or Fully synthetic oil? Bless you Cyrus

If you have a decent car are they terrible when it comes to reliability and maintenance ? I"m in the us looking at one with 49k 1989 , looks good but I don't think it lived in a service shop. Thanks , I like your videos .

if you find some in this coditions it´ll be expensive, and it´s not cheap to maintain, even as investment are not so solid, but they are so lovable...
