懐かしいです。スラップファイト3週が限界でしたね！1週すると球が速くなりパワーアップするとレベルが上がるのでノーマルミサイル&レーザーがベストでした。この手のBGMがなんともいいんですバイ！

当時一番ハマったゲームだ。STG下手な僕でも結構続くので好んでやってたな。 2P側で操作できる隠れキャラいたよね。画面に1発ずつしか弾が表示されないけど、近づくと連射が半端ないやつ。 攻略とか知らなかったので最初に打たずに進むのとか初めて知った。

自分がSTGにハマるきっかけになったゲーム、おそらくSTGでは一番やりこんだと思います。 当時中学生だったので、攻略は友人やゲーセン仲間からの伝え聞きのみだったので、ソロプレイでは５周が限界でした。 ヘルパーはショット時にのみ弾が出る（ただしフルウィングにするとでなくなる）ので、友人とヘルパープレイ時には他装備を装備できなかったという ”接待プレイ”で微妙にストレスが溜まったこともいい思い出です。 周回ごとに弾速・弾の量・敵の耐久値が上がっていくので、ソロ攻略にはレーザー必須だったのを覚えています。 １７周とか…もう訳が分からんですｗ

Some techniques are used to gather high score... 1:37 The player commits a 'challenge bonus' that involves not destroying enemies and not dying until the first music shift. The result is a warp, 210k and three Wing powerups as well as the Homing shot. This advances you roughly 1/3 into the first loop. 2:03 Hidden 'trees' can be grown with the Laser shot for points based on how many hits you make. 3:26 There are also plants that expose to the Bomb shot impact for points. 1,000 per plant. 5:11 The Taito space invader requires the Standard shot to hit and you get points for every hit. IIRC it does not appear unless you arrive at the screen with the Standard shot ("Shot").

Well, I didn' think that trick worked beyond the very start, thought you had to not move or fire and then die to the first bullet to get the respawn with full wings! Cool to know you can extend it so far! I always thought this game stupidly hard. Now i see it was a Toaplan game and know why. :p Also had no idea how many hidden items there were! those point-scoring flowers are totally new to me.

yeah, the 'challenge bonus' increases the longer you remain active without destroying a target, and it usually caps right at the first change. And getting the bonus at any point gets you full wing and homing, but no speed or side shot.

omg! i remember playing this on the arcade machine and knew about the cheat where you got all the upgrades but never realised that the trick was to avoid being shot during the first section. Also never realised just how long it took to playthrough...

He's saying that this player is using some cheats, and this game can be completed with only LASER. I told him some enemies have resistance of laser and he doesn't even know about that, and he replied that I'm mad. xD
