How do you remove the passenger front dash... above the glove compartment.. thank you
@hansparis58606 жыл бұрын
Victor Carrillo not really sure never touched mine. Try removing the glove box and look under the dash for mounting bolts/screws I suspect you might need to also remove the dash pad but do that last as that might not be necessary. Good luck. Cheers, Hans

That piece is held from the backside with two screws. If you remove the glovebox, you can reach up with your hand and feel where they are. Definitely not easy to remove without the whole dash taken out.

Is this the same method for a 1983 foxbody hatchback 3.2 GL?? Because that's what I have
@hansparis58608 жыл бұрын
Kendrick Stevenson The overall process may differ slightly but the video should keep you on the right track

Yep. Same for all 79-86 dashes.

Looks like there’s a center speaker in the middle of the dash. is that what that is.
@robertb34094 жыл бұрын
The center speaker was for the optional amp. In the early years, the base Mustang had only one dash speaker in the center.
@coyote5.024 жыл бұрын
@@robertb3409 was it a 5x7 or 6x8. can you use it along with the 2 3.5 inch speakers with a aftermarket radio
@robertb34094 жыл бұрын
@@coyote5.02 I believe it is a 5x7" speaker would fit in it's location
@hansparis58609 жыл бұрын
One side note, if you're changing dash speakers install the new speakers before drilling the new dash pad. Cheers.

How did you go about removing your stock radio? Mines getting hung up on the footwell duct work
@hansparis58606 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, the last owner already had installed a upgraded radio when I bought the car so I only upgraded the upgrade. So I can’t help with your question, sorry. Good luck. Cheers, Hans

Did you replace any light bulbs on your dash during this time?
@hansparis58604 жыл бұрын
Hi Dilligaf, you know that would have been a great idea but no I did not. One of these days I'm thinking (always thinking on what I can upgrade/change/modify) of installing LED lights on the gauges and also thinking about changing the gauges to ones that I can see better during bright days (more contrast). However when I redone the interior I did install green LED lighting underneath the dash and seats and that looks real cool with the black carpeting. Thanks for your question. Blessings, Hans
