Great old packer!! The fact that its also on Dodge frame makes it even rarer. It looks like its been taken very good care of for sure. Trucks now a days with all the their fancy mechanisms are good only for a few years. These old beasts were built for a lifetime of abuse. Real epic catch brother.

BIG thumbs up for this video. This truck has stood the test of time for sure, what excellent capture. I cant get enough of these small old side loaders in action and what a feisty tote dumper. Great crew for helping you capture this before they are all gone and nobody would remember the way things were once done. I hope you can get more in the future.

Thanks for showing. Reminds me of that small rubbish truck in Winchendon, MA that collected trash at the former Food Ranch store (now long gone due to fire). Seems they were collecting corrugated as well, tough time putting it all in, too!

These old Rams were supposedly the least durable chassis of this class, not many have stuck around so seeing one doing grueling trash duty is especially impressive. Great job on all the different camera angles, especially the close ups of the packer arrangement. A clever way to use those smaller cylinders. Very much looking forward to seeing the rest of the Sunrise Sanitation fleet.

right man they where garbage from the factory with that nice garbage paint that would peel a year later. Maybe because this one is not crap blue. You know that blue, not really interesting to look at, not really navy not really sky blue, like blue with gray, crap blue. And rusted out rocker panels. I feel bad for those guys, looks like a craptastic truck. I like the idea. But its sooooo poorly executed, first off this is a tiny body so why they would make it horizontal is beyond me. It should be tipped down so the stuff actually fills it full not just 50%

I used to drive a truck similar to this. It was a New Way side loader. It always packed better facing up hill. It had hooks in ceiling to hold trash back.
