Hello, do you remember the year of the CR ignition?

I rode a 1986 and was really disappointed. It was a mint one too but the powerband didn’t hit as hard as a dirt bike. My cr125 has a way meaner powerband and it’s half the CC.

john doe a CR125 is also a quarter the weight. Like anything else the TRX really benefits from some race mods.

the A arms are older laegers or duncan racings long travel . they are the on ly two that tig weld the lower shock brackets like that

It's interesting because the -1 swing arm is still not as short as the 88 89 swingarm. But the 88 89 was longer and wheelbase as a total machine. I wonder what a difference it makes if you had the 88-89 swingarm on that machine. I know a lot of guys would do that

hey I see u have a esr power valve on that trx I have a question I've never installed pv cylinder and I was wondering what was the rubber hose connected to from the powervavle

I'm waitng for my motor to be assembled it going to be 350 power valve cylinder with a 4mill stroker crank

heck yea man we have that same cylinder on a different bike with the 3 mill crank. hauls ass. fastest bike we have. that hose is just a pv breather. it allows excess two stroke oil to drain out underneath the bike. check out my 1988 trx video I uploaded a couple days ago thats the 360 pv bike.

I have a problem with my 87 250r mabe u can find out the solution. I have a Duncan racing 275 engine brand new bought it like that but I feel like it doesn't give me the full power , sputters out on high rev , you thing it's because of the elevation ? Or anything I might need to know ? Please and thanks .

sounds like jetting to me. I also like to throw a fresh spark plug in if its been a while or if you've never changed it. If you can't get it to clear up with jetting you could have another problem, I would say the most common are chipped/broken reeds or a crank seal leak. hope this helps!

do you think the elavation level maters too? because i bought it off a guy that just rebuilt it and had it set to sea level. and i also changed the spark plug and the jet it still sputters, it runs really good but i dont get the full power on the top speed

Raul Velasco elevation can definitely effect your jetting. Every region has its own elevation and there for calls for different jetting, the best was it to jet by feel. Keep trying bigger or smaller jets and hone it in that way

I bet he has a 310esr motor, and typically you'd want to run a 20 inch rear tire for trails and an 18 inch rear tire on the track and the front is a 21-22 inch tire

natedot on face book there is a group called "trx250r owners for life". its one of the reasons I even have a facebook. There are other groups focused on the 250r as well, and the ATC. trust me its worth looking into especially with all the toys you have.
