Thank you Mr. Showers ! You inspired me to return after a horrific wreck to racing years ago when you were in N.H.R.A. I recently pulled my 1980 GS1100 out of the cobwebs and I should be ready for April 2020 ! ( gonna be belt driven supercharger, and water/methanol injection, shhhh, don't tell anyone ). I know that you understand, GOD BLESS.

Does anyone else believe that Marty Blades would've been the first to run into the 7s?

@ 0:17 is Marcy Boyle on husband, the late Bobby Boyle's 818cc baldy tire drag bike. Z2 crank and 1260 bore on the Z1 cylinder block. Hard to cut a light when you're wicking the throttle! Very impressive, to be sure! That's bobby with that ponytail and big back in front of the camera. lol God bless your soul...

I have a plaq and photo of my stepdad winning at atco in the 80s. His name was mike smith. Drove for Kawasaki and was from Norwalk Ohio. Trying to see if he is in these videos

Thank you so much for posting this. My dad was Marty Blades. If you happen to have any other videos that might include him, would you be able to share?

I didn’t know your dad personally but all of us fans loved him as a giant killer!
