Championdjk, thanks for the excellent review. This one was $52 CAD without shipping and handling and the moving part while 'cool' is not groundbreaking by any means. Lack of side mirrors on really expensive castings is a huge dealbreaker for me also as I'm not a Hot Wheels or 'Spectraflame' die hard. It's possible to get 3 MiniGTs or 2 Kaido House for under $50 CAD too so the value proposition is simply not there if you're outside the US anymore.

I'm a Kaido enthusiast and apples to apples they beat HW RLC nearly every time. As a stand alone HW piece I love this Nissan however. The colour, the He-Man screen, and the unique articulatelion mean it got a place on my shelf. To add perspective, I've only ordered 2 RLC this year, but 12 Kaidos. The lifted Nissan wagons with surfboards atop are just phenomenal and blow HW out of the water for detail.

I like the idea and concept and I bought a couple. The one I opened up was great with no issues but I agree with all your complaints. I’d be irritated with the non matching Ricker stripe too. Like you said, we’re paying $25-$35 for these cars so they should be near perfect when they arrive. I’m overall very happy with mine but I totally agree with your complaints and think they are totally justified. Cool review, please keep them coming. At least the 1 of 2 I opened appeared to be great. For those of us that had kids in the late 80s the bonus is that MOTU is on the video screen for the win! We noticed the screen in the original email they sent out and is one of the reasons a grabbed 2. My oldest son grew up on MOTU.

It's a great release...and the price is fair....if you strictly collect lowrider diecast as I do than you know what the revell bed dancers sell for ..a pretty penny and this truck is way better than those of 20 years ago

Thanks for the unbiased unboxing and review. It confirmed my suspicions, and validated not purchasing. Unfortunately, RLC/Elite 64 continues to prove their current models are not worth the price of entry. I highly doubt I'll renew my membership next year.

I use blu-tac to stop any wayward display vehicles rolling. Easy on, easy off, no residue, and allows for heaps of flexibility in how you display your vehicles.

for the price point the rocker paint should line up. I do like that it rolls. one reason I dont buy INNO is the rolling. very nice looking truck i like the fit of the bed to the top of the cab. thanks for sharing

I used sticky tack under the truck and put it back in the display case without those plastic inserts.. Works like a charm .

No issues that I noticed with mine but I also only looked at it on video. But like you said, we gotta point out flaws like these. For $3o-35 before shipping and taxes that stuff is unacceptable

You know I never thought RLC cars were pricey until I started collecting customs and found a guy living in a hut in Malaysia that can make me a car that is several times superior to any RLC or even other premium for about $59 USD plus shipping. Because of shipping costs I usually buy multiples. Btw these cars come in professional die cut and laser etched acrylic boxes on top of being true works of art. And that is only 2 customizer in SE Asia I buy from.

Same thing will happen when you put a dancing bed on a truck I used to have one of these in the 80s sometimes the bottom line will not line up

I had 2 of the RLC Lowrider Impalas and Monte Carlo, As much as I loved playing with the axles putting them into different positions, Hot Wheels decided to do the ball joints in chrome. They cheapened out on the axles being chrome painted plastic that fit into a metal ball socket base. The more you play with the axles, the more the chrome wears out in the ball joint and you can no longer put the car and hold it up in any position after minimal play with it. I like that they decided not to use chrome for the ball joint, but it does look cheaper with the gray piece, they shouldve done it in metal.

Yeah it is interesting that they chose plastic.. .however it does feel pretty durable.

Im happy with my truck. I didnt inspect like that but as long as they dont come broken or with flat tires then im happy.

Hard to have flat tires when they are not filled with air to begin with... haha jk. I have to be a little picky when it comes to how expensive these are

I like the truck, but that lower stripe being off center would irritate me too, especially as expensive as it is. They probably should have left it off or done a better job of centering it.I guess they chose Masters of the Universe because of the purple paint scheme. It kinda looked like the bumper would hit the back of the cab if you spin it 360°. All in all I still think it looks good and is something different. 👍

Yes to many flaws. I only buy Mopars when they do them. I rather spend my money on Mini GT. You get more bang for your buck and they our more realistic. Granted some hotwheels have that cool factor. Thank you for sharing.

I wasn't very impressed with it when I got it 45.00 id thought I would have gotten a better model. I sure hope this Lincoln and the cyclone will be better if not I won't probably renew my membership

I agree it is a nice casting , but not really my first pick. For the type of asking prices , the QC should be up to par , that way in the future market honest collectors that sale and trade fill better with the product their presenting , to get the best value and respect of reputation.

This is why I stepped away from Hot Wheels and Mattel itself it's getting overhyped and overpriced and I'm frankly a little sick of it. Sad part is I have better in my collection.
