You know I never thought RLC cars were pricey until I started collecting customs and found a guy living in a hut in Malaysia that can make me a car that is several times superior to any RLC or even other premium for about $59 USD plus shipping. Because of shipping costs I usually buy multiples. Btw these cars come in professional die cut and laser etched acrylic boxes on top of being true works of art. And that is only 2 customizer in SE Asia I buy from.

If you want to display this car loose in the acrylic case just go and get some Ticky Tac from hobby lobby. Many of the worlds best customizers use it and turned me onto it.

At least the 1 of 2 I opened appeared to be great. For those of us that had kids in the late 80s the bonus is that MOTU is on the video screen for the win! We noticed the screen in the original email they sent out and is one of the reasons a grabbed 2. My oldest son grew up on MOTU.

This is why I stepped away from Hot Wheels and Mattel itself it's getting overhyped and overpriced and I'm frankly a little sick of it. Sad part is I have better in my collection.

Championdjk, thanks for the excellent review. This one was $52 CAD without shipping and handling and the moving part while 'cool' is not groundbreaking by any means. Lack of side mirrors on really expensive castings is a huge dealbreaker for me also as I'm not a Hot Wheels or 'Spectraflame' die hard. It's possible to get 3 MiniGTs or 2 Kaido House for under $50 CAD too so the value proposition is simply not there if you're outside the US anymore.

for the price point the rocker paint should line up. I do like that it rolls. one reason I dont buy INNO is the rolling. very nice looking truck i like the fit of the bed to the top of the cab. thanks for sharing

No issues that I noticed with mine but I also only looked at it on video. But like you said, we gotta point out flaws like these. For $3o-35 before shipping and taxes that stuff is unacceptable

I got one, too. It's not normally my kind of of thing but I liked it enough to buy one. Something just grabbed me.

I used sticky tack under the truck and put it back in the display case without those plastic inserts.. Works like a charm .

Yes to many flaws. I only buy Mopars when they do them. I rather spend my money on Mini GT. You get more bang for your buck and they our more realistic. Granted some hotwheels have that cool factor. Thank you for sharing.

I had 2 of the RLC Lowrider Impalas and Monte Carlo, As much as I loved playing with the axles putting them into different positions, Hot Wheels decided to do the ball joints in chrome. They cheapened out on the axles being chrome painted plastic that fit into a metal ball socket base. The more you play with the axles, the more the chrome wears out in the ball joint and you can no longer put the car and hold it up in any position after minimal play with it. I like that they decided not to use chrome for the ball joint, but it does look cheaper with the gray piece, they shouldve done it in metal.

Im happy with my truck. I didnt inspect like that but as long as they dont come broken or with flat tires then im happy.

I like the truck, but that lower stripe being off center would irritate me too, especially as expensive as it is. They probably should have left it off or done a better job of centering it.I guess they chose Masters of the Universe because of the purple paint scheme. It kinda looked like the bumper would hit the back of the cab if you spin it 360°. All in all I still think it looks good and is something different. 👍

I like the idea and concept and I bought a couple. The one I opened up was great with no issues but I agree with all your complaints. I’d be irritated with the non matching Ricker stripe too. Like you said, we’re paying $25-$35 for these cars so they should be near perfect when they arrive. I’m overall very happy with mine but I totally agree with your complaints and think they are totally justified. Cool review, please keep them coming. Funny thing with this set is the silver version A Eclipse was the first one I found at our Walmart. I've never found the black one or the 2 Chevy trucks. I have all the rest of the set except those 3. I can't wait for the yellow Ram Rebel coming up later. One thing I've wondered with all brands of diecast that make chases is when they say only 250 made,you wonder if there really is only 250 made. Could be a little more or less than 250. Sometimes when you see so many chases listed for sale online that makes you wonder how many for sure are floating around out there. Anyways, love your Auto World videos.
