1:31: the late Bob Vernon doing a quick plug for Wheel of Fortune, which is STILL on WLKY today, and it’s been on WLKY for 40 years now, ironically, the same 40-year timeline as CMT, Paramount Network (which launched as The Nashville Network) and (The) Disney Channel!

Thumbs up ...Thanks for uploading the whole show..Did not catch much of the Caldwell episodes due to watching watching Jeopardy and Wheel between 7 to 8 pm but always watch the Wink episodes the the late 70's early 1980's before Jeopardy and Wheel came on the air 7 to 8pm time slot.. .

Caldwell aired at 9:30am in my neck of the woods after years with Wink on a competing station at 7pm (it's replacement? Wheel, followed by Jeopardy at 7:30).

In NYC, we were lucky enough to have Joker and Tic Tac come on at a different time from J! and Wheel between 84 and 86. Joker and Tic Tac were on in the early afternoon, J! in late afternoon, Wheel at night.

@@johnissoevil nice! Unfortunately my market didn't get the Cullen Joker's Wild or even all of Jack Barry's run.

@@cevancarr Damn. Did you have WOR out of NYC on cable? I know they were a Superstation, and they had both shows at various times over the years, they aired the entire Cullen run, and they aired the first four seasons of the Barry syndicated run.
@cevancarr Жыл бұрын
@@johnissoevil no 😔 Only WGN and (W)TBS. However I did get to see Barry and Cullen later on thanks to Game Show Network (also USA did rerun the Cullen seasons, but I'm too young to remember those reruns).

Aired on 2/28/1986 as per the Mysite website listing the episodes of Caldwell Tic Tac Dough that person has, but the original broadcast of this surfaced via a Florida NBC station a few years ago, airing on 2/14/1986. That episode surfaced along with that day's Joker's Wild episodes, Daytime Wheel of Fortune, Daytime Sale of the Century, Scrabble, and possibly Super Password. The President's Day sale reference indicates this is probably from 2/14, as President's Day was 2/17 in 1986

boyiam, where is that site, I'd like to see it because The Caldwell Season confuses me and I'd also like to know if they took two or three separate weeks of repeats like WOF did because it was usually 195 episodes per season
@zachhoran2 жыл бұрын
@@Retrotv I think the last two seasons of Tic and Joker were 185 episodes per season and not 195.

It was from Orlando's ABC affiliate WFTV where TTD and TJW aired in the mornings in early 1986. and all the NBC game shows were on WESH.

Did he say (moh-beel) furniture as in Mobile AL?
@jasejj11 ай бұрын
So furniture rental was a thing in the States? Interesting concept, although who exactly would want to be the second renter? We had TV and VCR rental in the UK but furniture is an alien concept! Interesting to see this station seemingly rolling the commercials manually - must have been a small market, you'd think by 1986 they'd have at least an ACR? Some of the UK local stations were starting to move on to cassette based automation like MARC by this point.

I hope you have more of these, Game TV in Canada skipped some, but I've seen this one before, the airdates really confuse me, it's like it airs one week, and then on other affiliates two weeks later, but I'd put this and (Night Tracks Chartbusters '87) Year End Special on Archive, because Sony Pictures Television is not very friendly and they've gotten rid of some Game Show Channels such as The Fun & Games Channel, Our Classic Game Show Channel and Sam Mitchell
