They said Haslam bike was just a standard Honda VFR that any one could buy, but on the straights it wasn’t losing any ground must of at least had some work done to engine or at least the exhaust. There was at least a 40 hp advantage over a stock VFR750.

@@adamcondon5115 The stock 1986 VFR750 rwhp was only 82, Merkel’s bike was 135 hp, whether that is at the crank or wheel I don’t know.

All of Honda America's bike were at the crank, Road Race, Dirt track, motocross
