I love how the snow totally changes the look of the environment your in. Even if you're in a local spot you're used to, the snos makes it feel new and unexplored

Good content in this video. I like the bring it back to basics vide. As much as we all love the outdoors for its beauty, fun and adventure its always good to practice preparedness in case of emergency or forced into a predicament.. And along with the fun and enjoyment we get to refresh an hone the skillset. Have a plan and maybe trade out or downsize items in our gear. Gear reviews are fun and Im the first nerd who wants to check out latest and greatest. But in the same token in the end survival and or rescue is king. Good deal Burton. Like all your channel has to offer. Really dug this one. Where I live we got 9+ of the white stuff and another 2 to 3 the following day. Stay warm my friend.

Keep some disposable hand warmers with you, and not just to keep your body warm. Put your water filtration gear in your pack and put a hand warmer in there next to the filtration gear to keep the filter from freezing. Just keep the hand warmer dry. A ziplock bag that's left open at the top should keep the hand warmer dry.

That’s awesome, thanks!

One of the things I do up here in the cold when I’m going to be active its start cold and warm up along the way. Today I did a 4 mile ski in 5° weather and I did it in a thin merino wool base layer and a HPG windcheater. It was perfect didn’t sweat too much but kept extra wool layers in my pack for when we stopped. Also I save the wool beanie for breaks and just wear a normal ball cap while moving. Great video man.

Yea man, that’s smart.

Too much fun! Since you sweat even more than me, you might be interested in a layer that few in the U.S. seem to have heard of -- well few who aren't into cycling, anyway. Fishnet baselayers. Usually made of merino or polypropylene, they keep your skin from staying wet. The next layer, whether wool or synthetic wicking, carries the vapor even further from your skin. So venting is still useful, but less urgent. Stay well!

I am actually very aware of it but I just can’t bring myself to wearing it. My buddy Jay Berry loves it and swears by it but I’ll stick with my stuff haha

Test your lighters often. I had 3 in my pack that I never used. 4 years old. None of them worked when I finally checked them

Good video, enjoyed your views on the weather in your area but alot of what you experienced can be applied elsewhere like here in Ohio with the humidity.

Thanks a lot! And yea I’ve noticed more and more folks saying their area is similar!
