You guys are fantastic! Love how you are actually teaching because I have a 85 Chevy g20 contempo van. & its hard to find any diy info much less a good step by step in this van plus most are raised roof. I'm in over my head but I have to get it figured out no other option for me and winter is approaching. Anyway thanks so much heading to watch and learn all I can!

Hi Jackie, thanks for the kind words! It was a fun project, I'm just sad I didn't get to totally finish it before Logan had to leave for Moab. Don't hesitate to hit me up if there are any questions we can help answer? Remember, never say 'never' just step out in faith... You've got this!

@@PardeeShopShenanigans Thank you so so much for your kindness and words of encouragement I really needed it more than you know. I will try not to be a pain but will without a doubt have a lot of questions. I just started taking the carpet out today, no idea what I will be able to find to replace it but the carpet had to go. Also when I type how to fix the headliner I only get to re glue the material but I'm talking about the entire ceiling(not the outside roof) like if I put a long stick to prop it up I have at least an extra foot of headspace? Any ideas?

@@jackiepope Two notes: There should be plywood under your carpet. If there are any rot areas or damage, you can cut it out and replace it. I suggest shopping for a deal on LVP (Luxurious Vinyl Plank) to put down, because it's super easy. As for your headliner... If you are going to live or spend a great deal of time in the van I suggest pulling the existing headliner and whatever it is attached to. While Logan and I used fancy tongue and groove 1x5, you can a great finish with 3/16" Door Skin (thin plywood) available at any box store. Then you can put up insulation, and merely screw the door skin to the roof support ribs and get great results! :)

@@PardeeShopShenanigans Thank you so much. I am going to look for any damage places today and then check around for the supplies. Gives me a direction to focus on , I'm so grateful. I will take b4 pics and after (if I don't screw it up too much 😏)
