I think the XF Falcon was more Australian than that lot combined

The barina was a suzuki for a start. The next model commodore after this (VN) really went downhill in quality. I used to see them with faded paint at 12-15 years old, dash cracked. I knew someone in the outback who had their tail lights cable dragging on the ground and the stones it flicked up put HOLES in the fuel tank. It was 3 years old which a bunch of tek screws in the fuel tank and was more or less destroyed at only 3 years old.

@@OffGridInvestor sure, the vn commodore might not have been the best that holden produced but have you seen the rest of the lot? The vl vk vs vt vy vz ve and the vf are all good cars. Except the European one let's not bring that one up lol

How is it more Australian than a car that was first produced AND sold in America more Australian than a car company that was founded and developed locally?

The VL Commodore was pretty good, Camira (ahem) the less said the better, same with Astra, that Suzuki thing was'nt too bad for what it was either.

LOL!! So bad. I didn't know the Piazza was also badged as a Holden

it was sold from 1986 to 1988 but was expensive(well not in the context of celica's and prelude's)but when you could in the same showroom get a Calais Turbo for similar money they asked way too much.a belated replacement for the Torana Hatchbacks that were phased out late 1979 and yes the Monaro Coupes that died in 1976.

Bad graphics, and a Button Plan-mobile in that "Astra"...brutal. To think U.S. GM fans envy what the Aussies get.

that was a pulsar by any other name.the real astra or kadett or lemans was actually in europe or america or the uk sold as an opel or pontiac or vauxhall and a new age of what should have been the t car of gm brands.

Astra is a Pulsar with a GM engine. VL is an Opel with a Nissan engine.

Not much has changed.I had a 2017 Spark bought used in 2018 for three years till it was written off by a truck last year.Heap of low down engineering nonsense.the lack of power to escape in an emergency was a worry(To put that 1.4 into perspective it was about 9% less powerful than the 1987-1989 Astra that continued onto 1991 as a Pulsar)in a lighter body.talk about a tin can.I returned back to the Mazda camp with a 2008 3 which might be an older car but the power and weight considering what I went through is worth it.big enough and solid and safe compared to my old Daewoo made piece of rubbish.
