Those "Bugger" ads are a legend in New Zealand. There were official complaints but none were upheld. None of those were banned.

Bakkies (pick ups) are a fundamental part of South Africa life and culture for practical and even symbolic reasons , so not a surprise they get more advertising than car there. Many of such advertising are imported, so they lack a certain salty south african humor.

The HSBC one was SORT of banned, but only because of the "World's Local Bank" tag, ALL of those were pulled; as they werent - and still arent, a local bank. I dont know how many complaints were made, but the tag line had been used for YEARS at that point.

I carried my daughter doing that out of a Dave and Busters once. I got a lot of dirty looks and I'm surprised nobody called the cops because it legit looked like I was kidnapping a kid.
