Classic, mother of all sport bikes 600s. The Hurricane begins a incridible history of motorcycle! This bike is very beatiful for all time

I have the same bike, year and color. I am the third owner, after my uncle, and I ride this bike almost daily in the summer. The bike is currently sitting at 42,000 miles and counting, still runs perfectly. The original owner put a Yoshimura exhaust on it and it makes the bike sound super mean.

Beautiful motorcycle. One of the most beautiful designs of all time. In Europe it was called Honda CBR 600 F. I have one from August 1988. Sensational video. Greetings from Spain.

Hello. Do you have a user manual?

I bought the exact same bike and color scheme when it came out when I was stationed in California. The Honda Hurricane was the best sport bike you could buy at that time. The Kawasaki was the standard of the class until the Honda Hurricane came out. My first race was against a Kawasaki Ninja 600 and I easily defeated him in several races. Even the Ninja knows to hide from the Honda Hurricane! I loved my Honda Hurricane.

Had the 88 myself in red and white, bought it in may of 88 and your right the hurricane dethroned the ninja.👍

I had a Hurricane back in the late 80's before I joined the Navy. I loved that bike! I sold it to my dad in 1992 when I left for boot camp. It was the only bike that I ever rode/owned.

Bought mine new in 87'. Wanted the black but ended up with the white with red stripes. MSRP was around $3,800 if I remember correctly. Loved that bike so much.

Beautiful bike, I have one just like it sitting in my garage. I sold it to my cousin years ago in perfect condition. He never paid me for it and I got it back in a mess.

I have a red and white '88 model. Had it for several years now. Fairings need some work and a good repaint, but the bike is fine and runs like a watch. For a bike that is now 32 years old with an engine that has only had new plugs and a manual CCT it is amazing. Honda build quality. It has done about 130,000kms (about 80K miles)........Goes like a rat up a drainpipe too.....

My dad has one exactly like this one, he is the original owner and has about 12,000 miles on it, only mod was done to it was the paint, (and a 90w headlight shhhh) its now Miata yellow, with Corvette red rims and red and blue reflective decals. His didn't come with a over fender for the rear when bought new though, but it has folding mirrors from factory. I hope it get it eventually in the future. EDIT: Its also frame #134, no corrosion whatsoever, no cracked body work, garage kept. (although the rear of the fenders don't fit anymore, they have shrunk somehow) and just needs some fork seals and some carb work. Edit#2: corrected info

It's a significant piece because it's the bike that started the 600cc super sport segment and the AMA series that accompanied it.

The CBR600F doesn't really have any bad issues. Make sure the cam chain tensioner is working OK. It's an automatic one worked by oil pressure and sometimes they have been known to fail. Listen for cam chain noise at about 4000rpm or so. Manual ones are cheap, but tricky to fit as they are awkward to get it, the cam drive being between cylinder 2 and 3. They love iridium plugs too.... well worth the extra dollars....fit and forget pretty much. Use top notch full synethetic oil such as Mobil 1 Racing 4T or equivalent. It must be a special motorcycle oil though as the car synthetics will make the clutch slip and will break down in the gearbox. Change the oil regularly, every 4000kms or so, and that little engine will go forever.
