I owned a ‘91 colony park as my first car. It was the best and most luxurious car I’ve ever owned. Burgundy with plush velour seats.

'91 was probably the pinnacle. I've tried to find a well-preserved '90 or '91 LS with velour seats.

Looks even better than I remember back in the 1980s!

I would take this classy grocery-getter absolutely any day over any modern SUV or cross-over. Silky 302 performance - no barn burner but solid and reliable. Normal actual sedan posture instead of pumped-up overblown SUV.

I have a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 50th Anniversary Edition in the same dark blue metallic color as this 1987 Colony Park wagon. My 1989 has a dark blue crushed velour interior and all exterior trim is done in gold anodized with a luggage rack on the trunk lid. According to a plaque on the dash board it is one of only 250 made with this trim package.

I only got one thing to say... ... ... That is a petty cool car. It has a fantastic old fashioned style and it has some kind of modern clock and radio setting’s and other things. This is one cool car.

I thought they were really cool when they were new. No one else seemed to at the time, though.

that could be a twin to the 87' Merc we had.

Beautiful car, these were the cars when new. I've liked them since the day my parents bought a 1983 4 door new with this wheel option.

The turbine wheels were really nice. Very handsome, not fussy, and held up well over the years.

Really handsome car. Ford put nicer seats in way more of its Panther wagons than GM put in its B-body wagons. This Colony Park is a real beauty. Love the backlit silver gauges - these looked great at night.

One of the reasons I enjoy watching Twister. That was a Country Squire, probably a bit older.

@@jamiekelly552 That's pretty high. I had the chance to buy a clean '89 Country Squire in 2009 for about $5k.
