LOVED the turbine wheels on these. They complemented the overall aesthetic of the car so perfectly. These were the cars of my youth!

So true. Beautiful exterior .I find interesting that when NIKE rented this vehicle for kids advertising campaign. Mostly used the interior jump seat, trunk area, not the exterior for final adverts.

Mercury Colony Park was a fine wagon. Family rides must have been delightful in this car, say from Indianapolis all the way to Denver.

There was an older gentleman at our church that had one of those in burgundy that was pristine it was very low miles too and garage kept gorgeous car. The engine was a weak in his it had 302 but it had the variable venturi carb and power was way down it would barely pull his little bass boat out of the water and up the ramp. I still loved it he took it one day and traded it for a later model Roadmaster. I was devastated I had always thought I would get a hold of it. It still stings. The Buick was nice but it didn't compare to that Mercury. Nice car there love on it.

My parents owned a 1985 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Country Squire LX. I kept that wagon clean inside and out. I love the sound of the transmission shifting from 1st into second gear. I have seen people on KZbin asking "how to repair or get rid of the howl" 🤔🤨😑🙄🤭🤣. I'm now on my second Lincoln Town Car,1988 and my previous 1989. I'll own nothing else. You Sir have an iconic vehicle. One for the ages and it's a shame most will never know what we've known all along. Thanks for the video. Be proud of what you own. Any discouraging words from others boils down to jealousy.

Beautiful 1984 MGM Colony Park. Grew up in these cars. Starting in 1985. Family has had 8 MGM's. My first car was a 1988 MGM LS.

Most beautiful Colony Park wagon. What an incredible find! I am the fortunate owner of two Crown Victoria wagons and a 1989 Grand Marquis LS 50th Anniversary Edition sedan. The first wagon I bought was my 1987 which is a well equipped but not LX model in Sand Beige color that I have owned since June of 1988 and has been my daily driver since. It is now close to 250,000.0 miles and still runs like a watch. My second wagon was bought in February of 2001 and is a 1991 model LX in Pastel Alabaster color. It had a complete restoration in 2020 including engine, transmission and minor body touch up. It now has about 12,000.0 miles since overhaul. The Mercury is in pristine condition in Midnight blue metallic color with full carriage cloth roof and all exterior trim in Gold Anodized finish. I am the second owner and the car currently has 76,000.0 miles and runs as good as it looks. It definently rides even smoother than the wagons. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for Phillip. Yes, besides the carpet ride” experience. It feels very nostalgic driving one.

Really nice car. One of my favorites of all time. These large sedans and wagons were meant to be driven gently. When large and taller SUVs started coming out in the early '90s, drivers started to get more aggressive and basically the a$$hole driver generation began. These rode so well and did not block the view of every vehicle behind it.

Brings back memories of my 85 Mercury Grand Marquis LS same exact color except for the wood paneling. Best car i ever owned. They don't make them like that anymore and I miss it. I'd rather have that over any ipad on wheels on the road today

As I've written before about these "grandpa" car videos, how come they're decades old, yet virtually no miles on them?
