oh this is awesome, I remember this game, it was the 3rd time in 5 years Nebraska played LSU, they won the prior 2 meetings. This game was held in the daytime, 2 years later the Sugar Bowl started being played at night

I remember Ty Knox that fumble against Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl at their two yard line late in the fourth quarter was brutal . Nebraska was controlling the game . FSU took the ball 98 yards for the winning score. Just brutal…..Don’t ever highlight that game

oh my yes, from 1981 to 1993 the Huskers were 3-10 in Bowl Games, with all three wins coming againtst LSU

I go back and watch Georgia and Hershel was amazing, but he did it all on offense. They were a benefactor of a soft schedule and getting ND in their bowl ranked #7. It's a good watch but a game you come away with thinking ND shot themselves in the foot all game and outplayed Georgia. Holds true with a lot of champions in the 80's and 90's sometimes being the champ takes a little luck in the schedule and your bowl alliance within conference. Many great teams in the 80's, many deep conferences.

@@joerussell838 I think your assessment is very accurate, avoiding Pitt was probably the key to Georgia’s National Championship, I just watched Pitts Gator Bowl win against South Carolina. Total dominance against a team Georgia struggled to beat. Pitt had terrific line play on both sides of the ball, Hugh Greene on defense and this guy you might be familiar with Dan Marino as back up qb. The weakest part of that Pitt team was the coach who couldn’t tell that Marino was much better than Trocano.

@@sleeplessvirus it's hard to tell but definitely some great games in the 80's. a few years you really wished #1 vs #2 happened
