Several bits from this event would be later shown in "Blood, Sweat, and Gears". This includes Tim Arfons on the Kamikaze quad runner, Leadfoot's wheel breaking off, Super Pete getting stuck on the cars, and Bearfoot flipping over.

I spotted Terminator, Barbarian, and The Iron Butterfly in the background. I think I've seen footage of USA-1 as part of introductions at this event too, I wonder if any of those trucks actually competed.

Thank Yoiu fro uploading this Monster Truck TV show. Does anyone know, why the Trucks drving that slowly over the cars? Already at that time, Monster Trucks in competitions were driving way faster over the cars to crush.

Kind of sad to see the *double pull* concept never really taking off It was cool to see but it obviously had flaws. The teams have no time to service anything and also need to worry about 2 different tracks (to regular people they may seem identical, but track conditions can be completely different each time on indoor events.

Would be very nice to see a "nostalgia" class of monster trucks, with this exact configuration. Crushing cars and pulling sleds. Slow and unreliable for sure, but with real vehicles, a lot of chrome, metal bodies and brand identity. Just look how cool is Bigfoot, Leadfoot or Super Pete. Thanks for this video.

Was this the show where the sand dragster crashed? I bet they stopped the show and that is why there isn't any more racing and they probably filmed the bridges in the empty stadium after when in before planning it was to still be a full stadium.

It is not. Separate event. Non MT event. Event the dragster was just an exhibition run.

Nope, that was in 1988 and it was a Mickey Thompson promoted event. Not a USHRA production.
