Outstanding !!! You always go into great detail trying to help us little guys. Do you have the wiring diagram for the dual fans. Didn't see it in the discription

You do a great job!! Can you tell me we’re I need to ground my engine? Some how I think there is three!
@laurencevillegarage2 жыл бұрын
You can never have too many. I have primary negative battery cable to engine head, also from negative battery to frame, also have ground from back of engine block to body and to frame as well.

Doesn't the PCM have a high and low wire coming from both the blue and red PCM connectors? You only use one????
@laurencevillegarage2 жыл бұрын
Use blue pin 42 for cooling fan #1 and red pin 43 for 2nd cooling fan. I used both.

@@laurencevillegarage one of those pinout shows it not to be in use and the other one is for the AC control if I'm not running AC will that work?
@laurencevillegarage2 жыл бұрын
@@salreyes3215 yes, they will work. You will need to let whoever does your tune know that you have wires in those locations for that purpose. To make it even easier, use one of the uncut wires you removed earlier that has a pin on it. Now you will have 2 wires for your fans (be sure and label them). When you make your harness relay/fuse box you can go ahead and include a couple of relays and fans to go with it. Be sure and use a weather tight box for your box to keep moisture out.

@@laurencevillegarage yes I ordered the same box you used. Thanx a million 👍

Whats the part number or the info on the Radiator?
@laurencevillegarage Жыл бұрын
It's a stock replacement for a 5.7 '91 model truck. Nothing fancy....works great, no overheating issues.
@nrgrandits2046 Жыл бұрын
@laurencevillegarage I noticed it's not a thin one, I wanted a 454 one but seems a little bit to big. Where yours looks just right.

What did you do for vacuum for brake booster?
@laurencevillegarage2 жыл бұрын
The vacuum is attached to the back of the intake manifold.
@pjl19192 жыл бұрын
@@laurencevillegarage I’m asking because on my manifold I think the port is blocked off
@laurencevillegarage2 жыл бұрын
If you are using a truck manifold, that plug can come out and a "nipple" can go in. There are other ways to get a hose from the brake booster to the intake if that is not possible.

Is the radiator the original of the 5.3?
@laurencevillegarage9 ай бұрын
No, it is what would be correct for a V8 1991 Chevy OBS
@carlosiramhernandez91039 ай бұрын
@@laurencevillegarage So can I use a radiator of a v8 of 93?, for my 5.3 of 2002?
@laurencevillegarage9 ай бұрын
Yes. Depending on the water pump you choose, there is some "play" with the coolant outlet...and you can choose an aftermarket inlet flange to change the angle a bit as well if needed. Just be careful to choose a pump (if you change it out) to work with the location of your throttle body and other accessories.

What radiator and cold air intake did you use?
@laurencevillegarage2 жыл бұрын
The radiator is standard 1991 Chevy c1500 with 5.7 and 28" core. As I mentioned in the video, the CAI was put together with various parts from the donor Suburban, a couple of parts I had laying around and a coupler and air filter that I purchased off ebay. I put links in the description below the video where I bought those items and price paid.
