Sure do miss Dale. As a car owner DEI would still be strong and probably would have won several championships.

I'm not a Dale fan but I'm not here to bash him or anything .I just don't feel dei would turned out any differently.i don't care who owned it or drove for it it all comes down to onething .MOney.money buys wins an money buys championships an that's a fact dei could have never competed against the big teams

They really left the fans to guess with that Rusty Wallace/DR Jerry Punch interview (wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you)! The Hall of fame speech about Doc saving his life was a FANTASTIC story they could've told more about in that first interview!

Rusty was so lucky who chokes own their own tounge an the first person to the car was a er doctor.he was so lucky. Rainie Iran was same they just happened yo be a doctor right where he crashed an he put trachea in irvan or he would been dead on arrival

@@brianbooher7318 Actually Rusty was choking on the ham sandwich he had just eaten before getting in the car. I saw an interview with Rusty, who said The King saw him eating that sandwich & told him not to do that again, just a few lap's later Rusty said, he became a firm believer in Petty's advice! 😉 RW was a VERY lucky man that Saturday, God bless Dr Punch! 🙏

Thanks for posting this. This was the first race I ever attended and what a race! I was an Earnhardt fan before I got there and still am. I was also lucky enough also to see his 7th Championship in ‘94 when he won at Rockingham. MAN THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!

500 laps here sure did beat the hell out of a driver more in 1988 than current day Bristol.

they shoulda left the track alone an left the banking at 36 degrees I don't no why bos hogg thought it would be a good idea to take the banking down to 24 degrees but he fucked bristol up

That 88 black and silver #3 was the most badass scheme of all time. That was a mean looking car.

How Darrell Waltrip won 7 races here in a row I'll never know. Doesn't matter if he had the best race car. Getting through 7 races without having some trouble that would make him lose the race at this racetrack is one of the greatest feats in all motor racing

Absolutely!! Ol' DW was really a top 5 All-Time Cup driver, it's unfortunate that his mouth is remembered more that his greatness as a Wheelman, but he's not alone in that, does anyone really believe Kyle Busch will be remembered most for his wheelman talent, or his bad behavior antic's & that, not unlike DW, is a shame 🤷🏻♂️

These cars are far from stock but it is still nice to see these cars bang around and not immediately lose a tire! That has helped the demise of Nascar greatly because everyone like physical, hard racing!

Earnhardt had 9 wins at Bristol so did Cale Yarborough who has the record of the only driver to lead every lap of a race 1973 Southeastern 500 Cale led flag to flag now that's just incredible at Bristol of all places. When you watch the race Cale made it look easy.

Bristol looked so much simpler back then.

Shows how much a gentleman racer Elliott was. Had Earnhardt been in his position, we would be watching another video of Earnhardt wrecking someone for another win and everyone making excuses for him.
@Jesusislord33343 жыл бұрын
Earnhardt could win any way he chose to Win to be honest. He could outrun you because he was better than you or outrun you because he just wanted to and roughed you up. Bill Ellliot was NO Earnhardt. Sorry

He rattled Dales cage a few times. Difference is Dale could take it ;)

Go back and watch Dale Jarrett's crash, which was caused by Elliott being the idiot of the race
@joeyjohnson48263 жыл бұрын
Such a crock, considering Elliott put dale Jarrett out of the race, also why elliot has one championship.... fast as hell, don't dare race him.... Elliott is a nice guy, he wasnt as clean as his fans claim, and dale wasn't as dirty.... and I know why Bill Elliott fans hate him. At the winstons Bill Elliott ran up his ass and when he didn't go hi to Elliot could pass Elliott bumpes him again, and dale still blocked him saved the car and won... Earnhardt was nowhere as dirty as Elliott fans try to claim and Bill Elliotwas nowhere good a racecar driver is they try to claim or as nice😁... awesome bill was not clean he was great as long as he had the fastest hot rod on the track and didn't have to race anybody the minute he did he cried foul that was Bill Elliott's whole career🤣... OVERATTED....😁
