We inherited a 1989 Eldorado back in 2008 and I absolutely loved that car. Quiet, rode like a dream and the engine was extremely reliable. Whoever gets this Seville will enjoy it, I guarantee it!

This was my favorite car I owned to this day. Mine was black on black with the ragtop. Whoever buys this is getting a great deal!

Being a base model seville, i'm pretty sure the optional two tone paint is quite rare to see on this model. If you stepped up to the Elegante model, all of them were two tone as standard equipment. But on the base which we have here, it's very very rare to see this car in two tone. The 1988 model was the start of the 4.5 liter V8 which was a much better engine than the 4.1. The silver over black is a striking color combination and i would be proud to own this car. I owned a 1990 Cadillac Seville with the 4.5 and it was a runner. It was an all silver exterior with a red leather interior. Despite the sales number, this generation but be smaller on size but they were really nice cars.

I valet-parked a TON of these new small Sevilles (all rentals) when I worked at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki…I personally loved them! I loved their taut bodies- and I recall they were punchy AF…big V8s! This was the PERFECT SPEC. Wish more survivors would show up… (Have you seen one in full Pale Yellow spec..? …it’s like Key Lime Pie on wheels!)

That was one of my favorite designs on the Seville along with the bustle back Seville, that is a beauty and such a good deal.

Love these efficient size Sevilles. The 4.5 V8 has sterling reputation. Cadillac luxury in a reasonable size - less than 16 feet long.

Yes the 4.9 went into the 1991 model. That was the best one to get.

I have had many of the Eldorado version of these. They were the perfect car but not for the person they were designed for. I think younger people got a sporty "type" of car with luxury added. They drive and handle great compared to the Big ones of the time. I was in my 20's and loved them.

I also liked the Mustang II - especially the Ghia! My sister bought a Mustang II when they came out and that very night while driving around she hit a cow that had wandered on to the road, totaling it - only had fifty six miles on it!

I must go on record & confess that this was always my least favorite body style of the Seville. I understand that the name of the game in the 1980's was efficiency, & this car DID have a gorgeous interior, but you could literally park this car next to a Buick Skylark/Somerset, Oldsmobile Calais, or Pontiac Grand Am of the same year & people would be very hard-pressed to tell the difference.

These reduced Cadillacs are so ugly, I had a neighbor who own one and he had nothing but engine problems, he spent more in repairs that the total cost of the car ... I would help him with his accounting and saw all his bills ... the Cadillac was a HUGE LEMON 🍋!!!!
