Just bought a 1986 FLC120 just like this one. Cat 3406 13 speed 3.90 rears. All aluminim wheels. Im the 3rd owner. Love it

Wish I knew how, I'm a little long in the tooth so I don't quite know how to do that. Happy to have found the FLC120 Everbody has Pete's and Kws. I owned a new Pete in 1993

Yea I plan to. We haven’t worked on the cabover in a while but I plan on jumping back on it when we finish the Emeryville and switching out the tanks on the flc

TXI had a sakrete plant in Cresson Texas that was about a mile from the local rail terminal, My Father would take me to work all the time and my favorite thing to do was sit in the 2 FLC Freightliner powderwagons they had. One was a dark blue almost purple color had a B model cat and a 15 speed, its sister truck was real light blue and had a big cam Cummins with a 15 speed. In fact one of my earliest memories was watching Dad move them around the yard one night. I thought it was the coolest thing ever seeing my Dad in that Truck all lit up. Unfortunately time happened... TXI got bought out the yard was closed, Dad changed jobs and I never knew what happened to those old shakers. I've been in and driven a lot of Trucks since then but I still remember those Trucks like I just saw them. I really hope that they are still around somewhere Its a dream of mine to one day own a FLC, I'm glad there are people out there taking care of them like this beautiful example you have. They are such rare trucks nowadays.

Damn that’s a really cool memory. I have similar ones of my pops working on or driving trucks from when I was a kid. I appreciate what you said about our flc too we are trying to get it as nice as possible. I sure you’ll get one one day and maybe we will meet up at a show lol… thanks for sharing your memory
