Sharp looking '88 MCSS as it made me wish I still had my '84 MCSS I sold years ago! Thanks for posting your video too!

Thanks for the comment. This is my second one. I had one in high school and I missed it so had to pick up another.

Now I now know what Dr. Dre was referring to when he said "Nuthin' But A G Thang."

I like those 80s Monte Carlo's. I have to refrain, no more cars.

Try Dixie restoration for G body parts. They have everything.

i just got refurbed buckets from mike's a month ago wish ida known what you demonstrated. my prob isn't just that they are hard but im in a wheelchair and it makes getting in harder cuz that seat is higher ad doesnt squish down. so im looking at having to lower the car an inch and see if can get the feet on the tracks raised to drop the seat 1/4-1/2 inch cuz its rough draggin my knees cross the hand controls' bolts, it shrunk my leg room.. cool car mine is a 86'. btw if ever looking to upgrade the manifolds & go duals the hooker sbc manifolds fit with no probs but doesnt work with air tubes.

Yeah the new foam is just too rock hard and doesn’t sink at all. I was hoping after time it would break in but it never did so I had to remove it. Thanks for the tip about the manifolds, I plan on keeping mine stock but it might help someone else out!

@@kickdowngarage i highly respect the 'keep it all original'. mine would still be after owning for 20 yrs (thin over buffed paint & lookin dusty). the lockdowns helped me mis a blown head gasket, long story short my reg mechanic said cyl 4 is beyond repair. i wanted to keep the l69 & keep it matching #s.... it was a waste & mech said we dont normally do eng swaps but we'll do it for U. i conducted a 86 ss build in 2000 so not my 1st go round. under my hood now is GMPN# 19432778. ummm lookin at the price NOW? I got mine for 2900, free shippin from OH to RI (guess i blew my engine @ right time). anyway the mechanic decided on deleting the emission control/ comp then i stumped em with my reason of keepin it for the converter lockup. i wasnt fully opposed to goin old skool and that's what happened and i figed out the lock up, sent em a b&m kit that didnt involve opening the 200 4r. to keep the orig theme, i went with a jet performance Qjet and im not pleased cuz 1st 2k miles it was leakin gas allover the motor, good thing i didnt go up in flames. got that fixed in sept with epoxy, i'm guessin they never did a thing with well plugs. anyway i love Qjets and beware the E-Qjets do fail, i was on my way to work 1 day and it took a shit, 1 of the electrical components. it was near imposible to get it started again & when did i had it burried to the floor to cruise @ idle speed and there aint much out there for support for em. i limped it to a garage and someone else came along & fixed it by pullin a plug and it started & ran again. the guy @ the garage had 0 clue bout Qjets.

@@punch_bowl_turd3005no problem, I too learned the hard way and spent money that I didn’t need too. That’s kind of why I decided to start this channel in hopes to help out other guys save money and time from my experiences. Just like many people with these cars and watching these videos I not a millionaire to be wasting money! 😂

@@punch_bowl_turd3005i get it sometimes they cannot be saved and don’t get me wrong I’ve had my share of modified vehicles but now I’m at a phase in my life that I’m enjoying stock vehicles. I did have issues with my carb this monte too. The solenoid and tps both went bad. I replaced them and runs a lot better but still needs to be fine tuned but I don’t have the equipment to do that so in the spring I need to bring it to a local carb shop that’s supposed to be really good so hopefully they can figure it out.
