When I saw this on Facebook market I almost cried. If I could afford it I'd pick this up. Im working on getting a 3rd mr2 but I leaning toward a spyder and selling my 87. Goodluck with the sale. See you around town.

I love the Spyders! I have a similar story about those… I bought a brand new car in 2004, when my youngest was born, and when I went to pick it up they had a brand new yellow MR2 Spyder. I talked my sales person into letting me borrow it and I drove it home to try and fool my wife that I had bought that instead of the practical vehicle (PT Cruiser) that I did buy. She just laughed when I pulled in the driveway. 😂 That Spyder was a heck of an awesome car…

This is very nice. I previously owned an 88' MR2 in white with the t-top, a/c and power everything, but my gray Toyota alloy wheels were the exact same as my 87' Corolla FX16 GT-S. I upgraded the exterior by having the mirrors painted white, purchasing the 89' supercharged MR2 smooth door handles (having them painted white) and purchasing the 89' MR2 supercharged rear spoiler with the LEDs (having it painted white with the factory silver stripe), because I'm my opinion, they looked better than the black door handles and the single light under the rear spoiler when I was single. I really enjoyed it the time I had it. Everything changed after I married my wife and had daughters. I went from driving awesome 3 pedal 5 speed manual transmission sports cars to driving a 2 pedal 8 passenger minivan. I did not see that coming.

I still remember the first time I saw an MR2 in person. We were living in Germany, and I thought it was a Ferrari. Always loved these cars ever since. But I agree, what about the GTO???? :-)

I bought my 88 supercharged June '21 and now early August '22 I've put 30k driving miles. Red, t-top and unfortunately auto but getting 30 mpg. If you get the opportunity to love this car get one and cherish it.

Its beautifull.. but me personaly think that the price is to cheap.. there was i low milage in us sold few months ago for 41300us.. i wish you good luck selling this amazing lady of a car..

Thanks Random Toyota Dude. When I looked into the average selling price it was right at $18,756, that seems to be about the same price that Classic dot com came up with ($18,007). I started at $22K, figuring folks could talk me down to the $18K… I got nothing. The minute I lowered the price I got all sorts of messages 🤷‍♂️ So, yeah, I could sit on it for a few months at a higher price or I could lower it and get some cash for my next adventure. I appreciate the comment and feedback!

That’d be a bit of a squeeze… 😆 You might need to move those pedals into the “frunk” and center a single seat in the cockpit area! 😂
