I wonder if all of Grave Digger's reliability issues weren't due to the engine being so far back, perhaps bad weight distribution affecting the entire driveline.

Scott should have named his truck "King of Excuses". I challenge anyone to find an interview where he's not making them. & what was Mike Whitt's explanation of that bye run, holy hell! No wonder he was replaced shortly after this as a corporate rep (Yes, I know II was Marvin's CG truck reskinned)... Despite these flaws from the 80's (lol), what a fantastic show! I'd pay to see an event like this over todays' shows every time!
