Nice conversion and great sound. Pretty sharp looking VW Van especially for a 88 model. Paint looks good. It is Saaweet!

Any chance you have a video of the exhaust ? I went to reuse my vanagon and the cat is HOLLOW, and the muffler is brand new...I bought the small car header in stainless but don't want to drop another 600-750 for the cat, muffler, and tailpipe parts...I saw a blue vanagon, a magnaflow muffler, and an Ontario plate on a video but hell if I can find it...custom made and sounded good like yours.

What muffler did you use? I'm trying to find something other than the stock vanagon muffler to fit to my ej22.

Where did you get the rear air intake covers ? They look custom made?

I'm assuming you're referring to the intake covers behind the rear side glass. Those are stock for this year Vanagon ('88). They're still functional even though this is a water cooled model. I used them to create a cold air box to the left of the engine using a K&N filter.

It's a shame that Volkswagen didn't look to Subaru for its engines for their Vanagons.
