Awesome video. I just opened a box of this last night. Should have the video uploaded later today. Fun packs to rip but wow that gum makes a mess!!
@jeffmooney39914 жыл бұрын
I love watching the old packs being opened. It was so simple back then just 1 tops set, and 1 opc set. It was easy to put sets together to be honest alot more fun, and cheaper.

Awesome old school break. Bummer about the Linden. Mmmmmmm.... 30 year old cardboard flavored gum, good stuff.. lol. I vote eat a piece. 😁

LOL! I tried one after the break... It was terrible!!! Thank you for watching 😁

I ate a piece of gum with a box of 1990-91 Topps, that I opened up last year. I think it gave me cancer.

Good ol’ days... I also remember getting OPC minis (no gum).... ps, that Larry Robinson is one of those OPC paint jobs where they painted over the Habs colors to get the Kings... same for Jim Kyle, Salming and a bunch more.

Ahhh trip down memory lane! Love it! The cards were so different back then! So bizarre that it comes with gum! It does not look appetizing at all! Ugh hate how some of the gum can ruin the card too. Hope you can get that properly off the Linden card! Don't eat the gum! XD
@TheHabsGuy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! The industry has really changed over the last 30 years... For the better I believe. I tried the gum after the video... I do not recommend. Tasted terrible! Oh well, that's on me for trying it... LOL!
@thatsmallrockshop2 жыл бұрын
Back then cards were for kids. Alot of us bought the cards for the gum and hoping to get our favorite players. A favorite player or favorite team card was a bonus to the gum.

Yup at this point I was still collecting heavily. I had everyone from this year at one point. Now you can het To sets,Leetch,Sakic rookies for peanuts. That's BS really because the calibre of the player should still hold some weight! I did enjoy you taking a stab at some of those names haha but you did well man. Thanks for the memory lane break!

@stevegobbo27374 жыл бұрын
Wow, that sucked. The best card in the set ruined by bubble gum. I heard a rumour that if you put the bubble gum card in the freezer it will break off easier. The Theo Fleury and Tony granato cards are good rookies that you riffled through very quickly. How much did that box cost you? Good video
@TheHabsGuy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! Might have to put that rumour to the test. I wasn't aware of those rookie cards! A bit of a noob with this product for sure. I'll definitely go back and sleeve those cards! Box was 40$ Canadian.

OPC gum can be brutal. Seems worse that Topps gum. I've opened '83 baseball and the gum is clean but I've seen '87 and '91 OPC hockey ravaged by moldy gum.
