Man this brought back memories of me rebuilding my 4L60E with my grandfather (after loosing 3&4) in his buddies home shop. Dude had a service manual for every transmission ever, made it seemed like. I remember my grandfather saying to as we were putting it back together “make sure you put that speed limiter back in there” I side eyed him and said “what speed limiter” and laughed. I was early 20’s. Man that was an experience

Ive worked on cars for years and it still amazes me how quickly these transmission guys can break down a transmission finds whats wrong and fix it. Transmissions are the bane of my existence.

That's what happened to the first trans in my 1990 k1500. It made it to 270k miles. The second one wouldn't shift out of first gear. It had 225k on it. 👊👊✌️✌️
