I don't know a thing about a transmission....I'm an engine guy. And I can tell you for a fact that there aren't many guys that SAY they know how to rebuild a transmission that actually knows what they are doing either..I had people build transmissions that were in better shape before I got it rebuilt. Transmission work is tedious and takes a real good mechanic to accomplish correctly.

TH 350 was bread and butter GM 4 over 25yrs. This unit was perfectly good as is. The trans fluid condition is good sign of potential problems. Excessive material in pan is sure sign rebuild's needed

How do you ever get that back together correctly

I’ve done a lot of engine work in my life but never took apart a transmission. I just replace ATF frequently to avoid the horror show. 😂😂😂😂

Someone had to have taken mushrooms to design the first automatic transmission. When they came out they looked like technology from another world compared to everything else on the car.

I may be just like a brainless idiot when I say this but is mechanic work really just memory then plug and play? Like when it comes to the work isn’t it basically juat outting a puzzle together unlike welding or electrical work where you deal with different voltage, height, etc. y’all just need the exact parts to plug in and bolt. Or am I wrong?
