Is there any way for me to remove the bucket seats and center console and replace it with a bench seat on my square body suburban?!

I do believe so there might be a tutorial video online, but there’s plenty of truck pages where people would be able to answer that a lot better. I would recommend the swap if it’s possible.

I love those old delco radios. You can pair buttons 1&2, 2&3, and 3&4 to program an additional 3 stations to make a total of 7 presets. They also made them with a 5 band eq and auto search functions for the tape deck.

Let me help you out a bit. You're right, that grille and steering wheel were both new on Suburban for 1989. To open the vent windows, you need to press and hold the round button before turning the latch, not just pull before turning. Your oil pressure gauge measures in pounds per square inch (psi). Pound*feet is a measure of torque, not pressure. The "Norm" setting on the climate control runs the A/C, uses the upper vents, and brings fresh air from outside. "Max" also runs A/C through upper vents but recirculates inside air. "Vent" uses upper vents and brings fresh air but does not run the A/C. You should have demo'd how to access the third row seat from the right rear door. That's an important feature for anyone who wants passenger space, as you said. And I'm sure proud of a young man like you for knowing about the IH Travelall! You're right, it was Suburban's direct competitor through 1975, its final model year.

Im aware of the PSI idk why i said pound feet 😂 also the vent window was just stiff that day i know about the button. The previous owner didnt use them. Thank you for the tips on the AC! Also yeah i forgot to do the 3rd row access :(

You got a great deal. I tried finding a square body last year when I had to junk my 2005 Z71 Suburban because the frame rotted. Wasn't able to find any in good shape that I could afford. Up here in the northeast, they all succumb to rust pretty fast.

Sweet Burb man! This one is LOADED which is kinda rare (a lot of these were bare bone rigs) and is in pretty good shape compared to most still around as these were commonly family haulers that were beat all to shit. That TBI 350 is just barely broken in with what i assume to be 130k mi. My dad has a '90 GMC Sierra SLE (fully loaded for '90) C1500 in the new body style (GMT400/OBS whatever u wanna call it) that he has owned since new in '90 and that truck has over 660k mi on the original TBI 350. All he did was maintain it with oil changes every 3-5k mi and it still runs great, doesnt smoke and has good oil pressure. You got a LOT of life left in this engine if you dont flog it and keep the oil changed. Interesting to see how many elements of the new '88+ GMT400 trucks made it into these square bodies at the end of their run including the front end, seat fabrics, and steering wheel. For whatever reason these square bodies had nicer, plushier seats than the new trucks did, my dad changed out his factory seats years ago because it was like sitting on a park bench, yours look like lazy boys....cherish her and take care of her because there arent many left, theyre going up in price now but one day theyll be worth a LOT as they keep getting rarer by the day. Great video man.

Hell yeah brother. You need that FLUID FILM to undercoat the fraim and under body to stop the RUST and kill the existing rust. I have the 1988 C20 Silverado with the 454 engine and yes it has the 40 gallon tank. So what is the plan for this Suburban?
