I thought you would like at this ultra clean 1989 Ford F250 4x4 pickup truck. This thing only has about 38.xxx actual miles and you can certainly tell by the condition. It is looking very slick all the way around. It has 12 inches of lift and it's riding on a fresh set of 40 inch Mickey Thompson ATZ tires. If you're looking for a Ford truck from this generation, this is about as nice as they come. Thanks for watching!

@chamblizi That's kind of a tough question to answer, because it depends on which vehicle, what kind of suspension you start out with, and how high you're going to lift it. The smartest thing to do is to find a company that offers a lift that is made specifically for your car or truck.

I'm fairly certain that its not a shackle reversal kit that's done to the front in, because the 89 F250s came with the Dana 44 TTB (Twin Traction Beam) front axle. This truck has a Dana 44 straight axle in the front. Which makes this thing a killer off-road truck.

I've got the exact same truck (I mean the truck, not the color, or the lift, even though mine is lifted) and that 300 Ford 6 is a monster. Literally the only thing I don't like about it is the exhaust doesn't sound anywhere near as good as a 5.0 or 5.8, but the truck itself is a mud machine. I love an old Ford truck.

Very nice truck. The inline 4.9 six is a very good engine. My uncle had a 1986 Ford Bronco with inline 6. As far as speed 5.0 would out run it. As far as climbing a tree, the 6 would do it over the 5.0 or 5.8.

@casebutler I have a truck like the 1st you described.. Except for the whole "Pile of Scrap" and the solid axle. And when i bought that truck, I looked around for one that had a solid axle that was swapped in, because at that time I was in possession of a solid axle but I didn't want to have to go through the trouble. I probly looked at a dozen different trucks, and they were all IFS. Wiki isn't helpful here, it says starting in 1980-1996 they offered the IFS, but it doesnt say much else.

@RamblinAround yea i will have to do a video of her before she gets picked up this coming weekend, no doors so you always had to climg into it, i sat taller than the windshield so with the top off was pretty windy lol and when you wanted to horse around a little or had one of the kids pull up next to you in an import (which was funnier than hell by the way!) she always wanted to pick up the front end, we got 425hp and she weighs in at just under 1800lbs :o)
